The outline is as follows:

1. Sin is antithetical to Christ
   1. Sin is rebellion
   2. Jesus removes sin
   3. Jesus is our standard
2. Sin is antithetical to the child of God
   1. They abide in Christ
   2. They have seen Christ
   3. They know Christ
3. Righteousness is antithetical to Satan and his
   children
   1. Righteousness does not characterize them
   2. The Unrighteous are of the Devil
   3. Jesus will destroy the works of the Devil
